TUITION FEES FOR YOUR STUDIES AT HDBW
What does it cost to study at HDBW? Finde here an overview of the monthly tuition fees in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes, depending on the study time model.
And once per semester there is a student contribution for the Munich Student Union.

- There is no additional HDBW registration fee
- All courses and examination fees at the HDBW are already included
Monthly tuition fee
Master’s degree programmes
- 650 € full-time studies per month| Standard period of study 3 semesters
- 390 € part-time studies per month | Standard period of study 5 semesters
Resulting each in a total master tuition fee of 11.700 €.
Bachelor's degree programmes
- 540 € tull-time studies or dual track courses per month| Standard period of study 7 semesters
- 420 € extra-occupational studies per month| Standard period of study 9 semesters
Resulting each in a total bachelor tuition fee of 22.680 €.
Semester contribution for Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern
HDBW is a member of the Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern (the Munich and Upper Bavaria Student Union). Thus HDBW students pay a compulsory contribution to this Student Union once per semester for the services that can be used there.
Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern
- Provides the MVV-Semesterticket - a limited public transport ticket for Munich
- Provides food and drinks
- Provides student housing and helps with the search for accommodation
- Supports international students
- Offers exciting events
- Advises in difficult situations
Total compulsory fee for the whole of the summer semester 2023 is 152,30 €.
Procedure for payment: Before the start of each semester, you pay the student union fee to the HDBW. And we forward the amount to the Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern.
Public transport: IsarCard Semester
To use unlimited public transport in Munich and surroundings, you can buy an IsarCard Semester. This entitles you to travel within the entire MVV network area at any time of day and can be purchased from ticket machines and at MVV points of sale.
