TUITION FEES FOR YOUR STUDIES AT HDBW
What does it cost to study at HDBW? Find here an overview of the monthly tuition fees in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes, depending on the study time model. And about the cost of an MBA programme at HDBW Munich.

- All‑Inclusive Tuition Fee:
All courses and examinations are already included. - Applicants from the EU are not required to pay an additional application fee.

- Master’s programmes: application fee of €100
- MBA programme: no application fee
Tuition fee for you studies at HDBW Munich
Master’s degree programmes
- € 790 full-time studies per month| Standard period of study 3 semesters| 1 semester = 6 months
- € 480 part-time studies per month | Standard period of study 5 semesters| 1 semester = 6 months
Resulting in a total master tuition fee of € 14,220 full-time.
Resulting in a total master tuition fee of € 14,400 part-time.
MBA
Total tuition fee for the MBA programme is € 34.000.
Applicable for full-time study over 2 semesters or part-time study over 4 semesters.
Please note: The fee varies for EU participants.
Bachelor's degree programmes
- € 590 full-time studies or dual track courses per month| Standard period of study 7 semesters| 1 semester = 6 months
Resulting in a total bachelors tuition fee of € 24,780.
Semester contribution for Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern
HDBW is a member of the Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern (the Munich and Upper Bavaria Student Union). This means HDBW students pay a compulsory contribution to this Student Union once per semester for the services that can be used there.
Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern
- Provides student cantinas / food and drinks
- Provides student housing and helps with the search for accommodation
- Supports international students
- Offers exciting events
- Advises in difficult situations
Total compulsory fee for the whole of the summer semester 2026 is € 97.
Procedure for payment: Before the start of each semester, you pay the student union fee to the HDBW. And we forward the amount to the Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern.
Regional public transport all around Germany: Ermäßigungsticket!
As an enrolled student you are able to purchase the 'Ermäßigungsticket' (discounted ticket).
With this discounted 'Deutschlandticket', you can use the entire regional public transport in Munich and nationwide for € 43 per month at the same conditions as the regular Deutschlandticket.
- For the summer semester 2026 a new ticket can be applied for with the current HDBW certificate of enrolment: https://www.mvg.de/abos-tickets/abos/ermaessigungsticket.html
- The Ermäßigungsticket is a monthly subscription that can be cancelled each month with a notice period to the 10th of the previous month
- The discounted ticket automatically expires on the last day of the last month of each semester:
