Teaching Philosophy of Prof. Dr. Udo Lunz
"In my lectures on the mathematical and technical foundational subjects, I lay the groundwork at the beginning of the studies so that students can handle the core subjects in engineering and the later challenge of the thesis with confidence. For this, I teach the necessary calculation techniques and problem-solving skills through a practice-oriented approach in lectures and exercises.
It is particularly important to me that prospective students are well-prepared for the mathematical and technical subjects before starting their studies through my multi-day math preparatory courses, ensuring a smooth start in the first semester.
With my many years of experience as a leader and as a mentor for students during internships and thesis projects in an industrial environment, I am familiar with the demands placed on future professionals in the engineering field. As a university lecturer, I am therefore able to guide and coach students effectively during their thesis projects."
